Proposal:
For this science expo we have decided to build a laptop cooling system. According to ‘Active Cool’, which is a the first company who build thermal electricity cooler for PC computer, people try to cool down their computer, because computers are easily get hot when there in-built fans are stuck by ash and powders. However, you have to replace these ice packs within 10 minutes because your room temperature is hotter than icepack and the thermal energy from air will transfer to the icepack. We are going to create a continuous ice pack. You don’t have to replace anything besides opening the switch of that machine and wait for the computer cool down by it. The computer-cooling device stops your computer from overheating. It makes your computer more stable and work longer than the computer without cooling device. If we are able to make our innovation then no longer will people have over-heating computers and will be able to play huge games on their computers without burning the disk. This innovation creates a continuous ice pack that goes under a laptop and is powered by the plug. Building the innovation is easy and cost efficient.
Why will people have to buy our innovation rather than the cooling system online? What is the difference between our innovation and the other cooling machines?
First of all, most of cooling machines on the market that we see are fan-cooling machines. The fan is powered by electricity and produce wind that can carry the heat out of the computer. However, they are not as good as we thought. It takes a long time to cool down the computer and easy to get hot again. Our innovation cools the computer by semi-conductor cooling plate less than 30 seconds, which is more efficient and more powerful than fan cooling because it can cool the computer below than zero degrees and fan cool machines cannot do that.
Although semiconductors are good way of cooling, according to the Active Cool website, it is hard to use for computers because it is too small and only one side will be cool, the other side of it will be extremely hot. So that’s why seldom people try to make computer-cooling machines and they usually use fan to cool down the semi conductor plates. After a long time of conversation, we found a way that could combine several types of cooling methods to one machine to cool down the computer.
We used fans, semiconductor, and water tubes to cool down the computer. The fan cooled down the semiconductor, the semiconductor cooled down the tube, and tube cooled down the computer.
Second, the cooling machine we invented is extremely hard to break. It is heavy and hard, cannot easily be broken by force like fan cooling machines. It uses 4 cooling plates and 4 fans parallel connected together to cool down the aluminum tank and inside water. Parallel connection takes more energy, but also makes the machine more powerful. Two light bulbs can only generates half of its energy through a serious connection. But with parallel circuit it can generate all it’s power. Once the water is cools down, the pump pumps the water to the tube. The tube round the computer and absorb energy from the computer. Then the heat trans-back to the cooling tank again by water and water will cool down again.
This leads to a circle and because it uses water tubes to cool down the computer base, you can cover any hot area wherever you want.
So, overall our cooling machine will be the most efficient and effective computer-cooling machine. Most likely in the future people will trust our innovation than other cooling fans, because people do use fan cooling machine he other cooling fans barely cool down computers because most of computer have a inside cooling fan but it still get hot when you play big games. Therefore, creating this innovation will improve cooling systems and maybe in the future our innovation might be able to be built into a computer and not have to be on the outside bellow the CPU disc. We might build it inside of CPU disc to let it work more efficient. We are excited to build this and believe it has great potential, so if we have a chance to do this innovation again, we will make it smaller and simpler so it can build inside of computer instead of make it attach outside with the metal case.
